Your Nantucket Cheat Sheet
Saving you hours of googling "things to do on Nantucket"
As you probably saw on Instagram this week, my brand Hotel Lobby Candle launched our Nantucket Summer collection, which had been two years (!) in the making. The launch has been going SO well (and if you’ve purchased already… thank you for the support!)
I didn't grow up coming to Nantucket, but the moment I stepped off the ferry on my first trip a few years ago, I understood why people are so fiercely protective of it, and so devoted to keeping its magic and charm intact.
Over the past few years, I’ve built a list of recommendations based on my own favorite spots and places that friends or island locals have recommended. If you’re planning a trip to “the Grey Lady” (as it’s called) — use this as your bible.
Enjoy!
THINGS TO DO
Bartlett’s Farm:
Nantucket’s oldest working farm, with a beautiful market and prepared foods stand, plus pick-your-own strawberries in late June that have become a true island rite of summer (and the inspiration behind our newest Strawberry Fields scent!)
The Sconset Bluff Walk:
This is the single most romantic thing you can do on the island. Tuck a coffee in one hand and wander the path that threads behind the rose-covered shingled cottages along the bluff. (The ones that inspired our Wild Rose & Sea Salt Scent.)
Hospital Thrift Shop:
This is a Nantucket tradition since 1929, with seriously good finds (Lilly, Loro Piana, vintage Reds) on India Street, and every dollar benefits Nantucket Cottage Hospital.
Sconset Market:
Pair your shopping with a stop at Sconset Market for a warm blueberry muffin.

COFFEE & BREAKFAST
Roastd:
Worth the trip just outside of town — they make their own nut milks.
45 Surfside:
They have excellent grab-and-go breakfast in addition to coffee.
Black-Eyed Susan’s:
This is universally recognized as the best breakfast on the island.
Wicked Island Bakery:
Their morning bun is one of those iconic things you’ll think about long after you leave. Go right when they open during the week if you want to skip the line.
Lemon Press:
A great grab-and-go for coffees, matchas, and pressed juices, and lovely for a sit-down breakfast or lunch too.

LUNCH & DINNER
Something Natural:
The best sandwiches to take to the beach. Homemade Portuguese bread is a must.
Provisions:
Right in town. Order a Thanksgiving sandwich and grab a seat on a bench outside to people-watch.
Cru:
The place to see and be seen. And to have a Lobster Roll. Do as the regulars do and order a CRUCumber Martini.
Straight Wharf:
Considered by many to be the best on Nantucket. You can watch the boats roll in while indulging in chilled oysters. The kind of seafood that tastes like it was pulled out of the water that morning.
Bar Yoshi:
Sushi and raw bar at 21 Old South Wharf, with a buzzy waterfront patio that gets going at sunset.
Galley Beach:
Go for the crab cakes with a side of breathtaking sunsets. (We love it for lunch, too.)

Mitchell’s Book Corner:
A classic independent bookstore on Main Street.
Erica Wilson:
A Main Street institution for needlework and elevated coastal pieces.
Tuckernuck at A Sailor’s Valentine:
Tuckernuck’s first-ever Nantucket storefront opened this season at 23 Centre Street, packed with their classic, vacation-ready coastal pieces.

INDULGENCES
The Juice Bar:
The best ice cream in the world. Truly. Strawberry shortcake and coffee cake cannot be beat. Waffle cones are homemade.
Force Five Candy Store:
All the way in the back of the Force Five Watersports surf shop on Union Street. A proper throwback candy store and a fun stop with kids.
Our Nantucket Summer collection—Wild Rose & Sea Salt and Strawberry Fields—are available now.
